    Keeping Calm - Managing Stress
    Residential Course

Sue Weston and CiCi Collins have been taking their Keeping Calm Inset day to schools throughout the country, for several years. Through this Inset day, Sue and CiCi have encountered very high levels of stress amongst the teaching profession and indeed have discovered that many schools now have at least one member of staff on long term stress leave. The same applies to local government, industry and the National Health Service.
Under UK law, employers have a duty of care to protect the health, safety and welfare of all employees whilst at work. They also have to assess the risks arising from hazards at work including work related stress.
    The latest key messages are:
  • Work- related stress is a serious problem
  • Tackling it effectively can result in significant benefit for organisations
  • There are practical things that organisations can do to prevent and control work related stress
  • Stress is a management issue, which a manager can resolve.

  • At Mill House Farm we are offering a residential course Keeping Calm – Managing Pressure, specifically designed for those who are suffering as a result of work-related stress. We recognise the difficulties of those suffering from this debilitating condition. With this in mind Sue and CiCi have devised a residential course that will empower individuals with the knowledge that they need, both of the condition and of themselves. We know that the world we live in does not create our stress, but our attitude to the world we live in. The course includes:
  • Understanding stress
  • Alternative methods of communicating
  • Self awareness
  • Personal responsibility
  • Active relaxation
  • Changing our attitude
  • How to get back on track.

  • As a result of the residential course the participants will have:
  • Increased levels of confidence,
  • Steps put in place to empower and to enable clients to exceed prior levels of performance both personal and professional
  • Improved relationships through powerful, assertive communication
  • Constructive ways for dealing with conflict
  • Ensuring balance in both personal and professional life
  • Clients experience greater autonomy as the tools learned are put into practice
  • Strategies are learned for keeping on track
  • Increased optimism as possibilities begin to emerge
  • A relaxation programme for future use

  • We have both been working in the field of personal development for many years and have hundreds of testimonials between us in support of our work. We are happy to answer any questions that you may have.
